Mike Holmes
Mike is married with three grown up children and six grandchildren. He graduated in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and entered the IT world as a lecturer for seven years working for a couple of multinational companies.
He felt God’s call into ministry in 1986 and attended the London School of Theology where he obtained a certificate in Bibilical Studies, after which he joined the pastoral staff at his church in Reading in 1988.
He moved to Wales in 1995 to lead a church there. After major redevelopment of this church, he obtained a master’s degree in transformational leadership, his dissertation was entitled, ‘Transforming church to transform community’, which is now available from Amazon in book form, called, ‘Transition for Transformation’.
He recently retired from his position as senior pastor of Coastlands in Barry, South Wales. He is still on the core leadership team there. Mike has also published another book on Amazon, ‘Personalized Psalms – the Psalms applied to your world’. He intends to use the same style to personalise other books of the Bible and is currently working on Proverbs.
